This small and compact dripper holds more volume than the 155 version so you can brew for 1 or 2! Expect strong and robust brews from this pour-over dripper. It has a unique flat-bottomed coffee bed, three small extraction holes, and a patented wave filter so hot water does not accumulate. The result is a rich and evenly extracted cup of coffee.
The Kalita Wave is a unique brewing process with tailor-made filters and brewers that provide foolproof pour over coffee extractions. The inside of this brewer features a wave design with a contrasting 20-wave filter that works rhythmically together to limit contact between each other so water can flow evenly and at just the right rate. Once the water reaches the flat bottom 3-hole design the brewer prevents water from accumulating so extractions are even and bitterness is dodged; the result is delicious coffee. Rarely are people disappointed with the results of a Kalita Wave Brewer for their even extractions and simple brewing process.

love the stainless steel dripper with three wholes. It seems to drip just a little faster that the ceramic which I use a lot, both are great drippers and I feel that the three hole is the best so far. I'm happy and would definitely recommend to friends.
I follow their published baristas instructions—water temp, wet filter, bloom grounds, pour. This makes a fantastic cup of coffee!! And love that no plastic. The stainless is clean and safe. Thank you!
Very forgiving! I have an old blade grinder and a standard electric kettle and it still makes a lovely cup of coffee. I’m curious to see if filtering out the diterpenes will help lower my cholesterol! It’s well thought out with an attractive simplicity.
Best coffee I have ever made, period. And as easy as using a coffee maker when you take into account the coffee maker cleanup. Plus, I love the morning meditation of making my perfect pour over.
We tried the grind for drip coffee and it took FOREVER to drip. So we upped the grind a notch and some improvement but still dripping very slow. So, we upped the grind up another notch and now it drips pretty fast but we've lost the full flavor we love in French Roast coffee.
We'd like to return it.

I received my Kalita coffee dripper two weeks ago and I love it! The Kalita design evenly distributes the water and coffee grounds to filter an excellent cup of coffee.
Delicious coffee. The flavor is enhanced. I had immediate feedback to my question. The suggestion to wet the filter first makes such good coffee flavor.
Very pleased.
It's a well-made stainless steel contraption for filtering coffee. I use it with a paper filter to filter French Press method coffee just to take out the harmful substances that increase cholesterol if you only use the French Press method. Apparently the paper filter helps filter these out. However, it's probably the paper filter that doesn't drain properly towards the end of the filtering because the coffee seems to pool in the paper filter halfway through.
I bought this after breaking my glass 185. It functions the same. Somehow it feels less elegant. But I'm a klutz and didn't want to break another glass dripper.
This was a gift, so I am reporting what my sister told me. She has used a single serving melita drip for years, and has had to replace it several times as it was plastic. I got her the stainless steel model and she really liked that aspect. After trying it she she was very satisfied with the quality of the brewed coffee and looking forward to years of good coffee from her Kalita Wave.
I've owned a Kalita Wave before but gave it away when moving across the country. I missed it, so I bought another one. Great piece of equipment for brewing delicious coffee.
It works well for a one cup, good quality as well. As I use it more I am learning how to choose the grind size that I like. It's definitely good for someone like me and I always like Japanese crafted materials.
