The Kalita Wave is a unique brewing process with tailor-made filters and brewers that provide foolproof pour over coffee extractions. The filters feature a 20-wave design that limits contact between the brewer so water can flow evenly and at just the right rate. Once the water reaches the flat bottom 3-hole design the brewer prevents water from accumulating so extractions are even and bitterness is dodged; the result is delicious coffee. Perfect function and very classy form
Love it - makes a great cup of coffee. Unfortunately, we broke the first one, bought a second one, then broke that. Now we are on our third one. We'll try to be more careful!
I love the filter. They do break but they make a great cup of coffee.
This does not feel like glass. Is it plastic? Also doesn’t fit on my favorite mug. It tips over when adding water. Very disappointed. 😢 is the ceramic drip wider?

The Kalita Wave 185 Glass dripper is glass, with the central cone made of glass and the collar that holds it over your service vessel is made of plastic. The collar is the same width as the other drippers to ensure compatibility with Kalita servers. Please ensure you are using the plastic collar for stability on your cups or service vessel.
A great overall coffee maker. I like how compact and simple it is, the coffee it makes is mellow and flavorful, and cleanup is a breeze.
Timely process and product arrived on time.
Surprisingly light, easy to clean, and looks good. Very happy. Much better than using a ceramic pour over.

I also own the 155 model which my wife loves, earlier I ordered a lot of the 185 filters by mistake and I thought I would try the Wave 185 and I like it very much.
Kalita brings the goods! This is just what I needed to make my best cup of coffee. I like that it’s glass and not plastic. We don’t need to consume more plastic.

I’ve used pour over for about 5 years and this is by far the best. Free flowing and no issue with clogging. I wish I had found this sooner.
After a few uses, the plastic base no longer fits onto the glass part.
I like my glass Kalta 185, it works fine. The glass material is lightweight. It is slightly thinner than the glass of my pour over coffee carafe, but is made of a similar, heat resistant glass, which appears strong enough for the purpose of brewing coffee. I have no extrao rdinary fears of breaking it at all, I handle it carefully, just as I do my carafe, and my coffee mugs. Since it is lighter than my Hario V6, I use my Kalita 185 regularly to brew single cups of coffee, it is simply easier to handle. Makes great coffee!
This is really great, but it’s fragile. I wish it was more robust. But I love the company they sent me a free one after mine broke. That has earned my customer loyalty!
New to coffee pour overs and this seemed to be a good place to start. Was not disappointed! Quality of the glass is great!

This little thing is the best add a grinder a good kettle and your coffee game is now excellent. Good for life as long as you don’t have butter fingers.
